Flathead Lake
Flathead Lake is in the Northwestern region of Montana, between Montana Highway 35 to the east shore and Montana highway 93 on the western shore. Flathead Lake is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide, providing 188 square miles of boating and fishing. Flathead Lake’s pure sparking waters and miles of tree lined shore offer unlimited recreational opportunities along with wildlife habitat. Overlooking Flathead Lake along the eastern shores are Swan and Mission Mountain ranges. For additional information please contact Montana State Parks.
There are six State Parks located along the Flathead Lake shore line:

The campground has 41 campsites, including one wheelchair accessible site; one group campsite; and three yurts. Bear resistant storage lockers are available.
Finley Point

Campground has 18 RV campsites and 4 boat camping slips with 50-amp electric hookups, plus 7 tent sites and 12 boat slips without electricity.
Wayfarers

There are 30 campsites in the park, including a hike-bike campsite with 9 tent pads, convenient for cyclists traveling the nearby Continental Divide route.
West Shore
West Shore
Concessionaire at Flathead Lake State Park-West Shore, offers rental equipment, including: stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and pedal boats. Open daily from June 15 thru Labor Day; hours of operation may vary. Call 406-249-1153 or contact them at seamepaddle.com.

At 2,160 acres, this is the largest island in a freshwater lake west of Minnesota. Kootenai Indians were reported to have used it to pasture horses to keep them from being stolen by other tribes.

Yellow Bay at Flathead Lake State Park is in the heart of the famous Montana sweet cherry orchards. During the summer, cherries can be purchased at nearby roadside stands or U-Pick orchards. There are 5 tent campsites that are first-come, first-serve only.
